Paint the State Prizes

More than $100,000 in cash prizes to be awarded!

Compete for 45 regional and statewide awards totaling over $100,000. Three $10,000 grand prizes will be awarded:
Top Montana Teen, Top Montana Adult, and People’s Choice.

Teen Division

Individuals and groups competing ages 13 – 18

Montana teens will compete statewide and in the six regions below determined by the county where your art installation is located.

The top three statewide winners will be awarded:

• 1st place: $10,000
• 2nd place: $5,000
• 3rd place: $3,000

The top five winners in each region (see map below) will be awarded:

• 1st place: $3,000
• 2nd place: $2,000
• 3rd place: $1,000
• 4th place: $750
• 5th place: $500

Adult Division

Individuals and groups competing ages 19+

Montana adults will compete statewide. The top eight adult winners will be awarded:

• 1st place: $10,000
• 2nd place: $5,000
• 3rd place: $3,000
• 4th place: $2,500
• 5th place: $2,000
• 6th place: $1,000
• 7th place: $750
• 8th place: $500

People’s Choice

All participants will compete in the statewide People’s Choice online voting contest.

The top four winners will be awarded:
