Description / Inspiration: This painting shows a human skull that has been hooked on a Red Devil fishing lure. The skull represents all humans regardless of race, gender, or age. It also depicts the deadly consequences that meth has upon human life. The fishing lure represents how easily someone can be attracted to meth without realizing exactly what a dangerous path it will lead to. This scenario is similar to the actions of a fish going after a shiny lure, only to be deceived by the end results. The painting is done with exterior acrylic paint on the wall of a metal quanset located off Hwy 16 near Froid in north western Montana. I have been a long-time art teacher at the Froid school and should I receive any winnings, I would like to donate some of the proceeds to the Explore America and BPA clubs at the school.
County: Roosevelt
Location: The painting is located on a metal quanset on the east side of Montana Highway 16 in Froid MT.
Thank Yous: I would like to thank Floyd Johnson for allowing me to paint this mural on the side of his building.
